In today’s business environment, technology can make or break your business operations. One of the problems many business owners face is technology evolution. Technology can be difficult to keep up with and manage, often requiring a large investment and a specialized team to operate and manage it. This can be extremely expensive for many small or medium businesses (SMBs), but it doesn’t have to be, especially if you work with a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or an IT Partner.

Culture. It is almost unheard of these days to see a job posting that doesn't mention culture. Virtually every company description includes some plug for their great culture or relaxed culture. But what does that really mean?

Like many young professionals in the midst of their career, giving back to my Alma Mater, Ferris State University, didn’t seem like something I was in the position to do quite yet. What could I possibly have to say to a group of students only about 8-10 years younger than me? As it turns out, quite a lot.

Now that technology is integrating so fully with our day-to-day lives, the concept of backing up data is more and more commonplace.  People backup their phones with iCloud or Google Cloud.  People use cloud file sharing services to have another copy of their pictures, documents, music and other personal data.  Personal computer cloud backup services like Mozy and Carbonite are well-established brands.  These trends are for very good reason—it’s a fact that data loss isn’t a matter of if, it’s a matter of when.  That’s why in any conversation about data backups, it is often said that if data doesn’t exist in at least two places, it may as well not exist.  These solutions exist for that reason, and because the explosion of tech users over the last decade has coincided with an explosion in the need for backups.
